We had such a fun time during this morning’s Coffee and a Card class, creating a gorgeous floral card using the Thankful Garden Bundle by Stampin’ Up! This bundle is packed with possibilities—and today’s project really showed off what it can do.
If you've never joined me for Coffee & Card Class, I go live usually on Monday at 10:00AM CT on both my Facebook and YouTube Channel. It' a great way to kick off the week with a little creativity—I'd love to have you join in.
You’ll find the basic measurements and a link to the video replay at the bottom of this post, so you can recreate this card at your own pace.
Here’s a peek at the card we made:
We started with a Fresh Freesia card base and layered it with a panel of Basic Black cardstock and a piece of the Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper. I added a decorative edge using the Fancy Borders Dies, which created the perfect frame for the floral centerpiece.
Using the masks that come in the Thankful Garden Bundle, I blended layers of Fresh Freesia ink with a blending brush to build up the dimensional flowers. For the leaves, I used Soft Sea Foam and Mossy Meadow, again layering the colors with blending brushes for beautiful depth.
Once the flowers and leaves were inked and masked, I die cut the floral image and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop it up on top of the designer series paper panel. I wrapped some Linen Thread around the panel for a natural touch, then adhered the whole piece to the card front.
The sentiment was stamped in Memento Black ink on Thick Basic White cardstock, then fussy cut and added to the front with Dimensionals. To finish it all off, I scattered a few Tinsel Gems across the card for that perfect bit of shimmer and sparkle.
Inside the card, I used the same floral mask and coloring technique on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White cardstock and adhered it to the center—tying it all together.
