Welcome to the March Sweet Stampede Blog Hop! This month, we're putting our creativity to the test with a color challenge—letting a fresh palette inspire our stamping projects. These bold and vibrant colors are sure to bring a fun twist to our designs. I had so much fun creating my project and I can't wait to share it with you. Measurements and supplies are listed at the bottom of this post.
For my project, I started with a Fresh Freesia card base and layered a piece of Thick White cardstock with five strips of the Toadstool Designer Series Paper (a Sale-A-Bration exclusive). This paper was perfect for challenge since it beautifully showcases all of the colors in its vibrant designs.
I added a piece of White Frayed Ribbon, placing it diagonally across the center of the card front for added texture. Next, I die-cut two layering circles using the Stylish Shapes Dies—one from Melon Mambo cardstock and the other from Thick White cardstock. For the sentiment, I chose a stamp from the With You in Mind set and stamped it onto the white circle using Melon Mambo Ink. After layering the circles together, I adhered them to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals for a bit of extra pop!
I stamped the flower and leaf images from the With You in Mind stamp set onto a scrap of Thick White cardstock using Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green ink. After fussy cutting them, I adhered the flowers to the front and tucked the leaves beneath the layered circles for added dimension. To give the design a touch of sparkle, I added gems to the center of the flower and scattered a few across the card front for a finishing touch.
For a finishing touch, I lined the inside with a piece of White cardstock and stamped a coordinating flower in Fresh Freesia Ink.
I love how this bold and bright color challenge brought this card to life! I hope it inspires you to get creative with your stamps, ink and paper. Be sure to hop on over the next blog and see what Heather has created—you won't want to miss it!
Happy Stamping!
